Situation
An opportunity to consolidate the Pacific Northwest and Alaska beverage distribution industry presented itself when Miller-Coors encouraged its separate Miller and Coors distributors to combine operations. The long-time owners of Alaska Distributors Co. determined that a sale of their distribution franchise would help achieve their family wealth diversification objectives.

ZS Role
Zachary Scott was engaged as financial advisor to represent The Odom Corporation in the acquisition of Alaska Distributors' beverage distribution business in common service territories.

Results
The Odom Corporation acquired, in two separate transactions, Alaska Distributors' beer, wine, and spirits distribution business in Alaska, its beer and wine distribution business in eastern Washington and Idaho, and a substantial part of its wine distribution business in western Washington.
