Mark co-founded Zachary Scott in 1991. Mark’s efforts at Zachary Scott have been focused on a broad range of buy and sell-side merger and acquisition transactions, financing assignments and strategic advisory work. Mark has an extensive network of contacts among business owners and executive managers, corporate attorneys, accountants and financial professionals in the Pacific Northwest.

Prior to founding Zachary Scott, Mark was manager of Seafirst Bank’s Investment Banking Department for six years, during which time he was responsible for the Bank’s activities in private placements, structured financings, interest rate risk management, and mergers and acquisitions. Previous to his work in Investment Banking, Mark held positions in Seafirst’s Corporate Banking Division as a middle-market lending officer, and in its Special Credits Division handling complex problem credit situations.

Mark received a B.S. degree in Urban Planning from the University of California at Davis and an M.B.A. (Finance) from the University of Washington.
