Michael joined Zachary Scott in 2010. Since 1998, Mr. Black has successfully advised both public and privately held
businesses in transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, public equity offerings, and financings. Michael has
deep knowledge in a variety of industries with specific expertise in technology, manufacturing, and the active
lifestyle / outdoor industry.
Prior to joining Zachary Scott, Michael worked as a lead investment banker at D.A. Davidson & Co., led an
acquisition search firm, and was an entrepreneur. Before his career in finance, Mr. Black worked as a design engineer in the
industrial tools and consumer products industries. Michael received his M.B.A. in finance and B.S. in mechanical engineering
from the University of Washington.
