Harry’s Fresh Foods (“Harry’s”) is a leading producer of chef-inspired fresh refrigerated and packaged soups, entrees, sides, sauces and desserts for the retail and foodservice markets. Harry’s operated production facilities in Portland, Oregon and Nashville, Tennessee. Harry’s owner, the Joshua Green Corporation (“JGC”), determined that the drivers of a winning strategy were to achieve the lowest unit cost of production and scale with long-term customers and that this was best accomplished in concert with other industry participants.
Zachary Scott was engaged by the JGC/Harry’s team to assist in evaluating the business, exploring alternatives, and negotiating a possible transaction.
Zachary Scott identified Campbell’s Stockpot soup plant in Everett, WA as the most efficient plant in the industry and assisted the JGC/Harry’s team to negotiate a purchase of the plant.
