Reichert Shake & Fencing, Inc. ("Reichert" or the "Company") is a leading producer of high quality Western Red Cedar fence boards with customers across the country. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Toledo, Washington, the Company operates a mill capable of producing nearly 30 million board feet of cedar fencing per year.
The Company was founded by Tod Reichert and has remained under family control for over 40 years. For estate planning and wealth diversification purposes, the shareholders elected to pursue a sale of the business.
Zachary Scott was retained on an exclusive basis to represent the owners in a sale of 100% of the Company to a strategic buyer.
Reichert was acquired by Alta Forest Products, the world's largest producer of wooden fence boards, specializing in Western Red Cedar and other high-grade species. Alta Forest Products is owned by the Itochu Corporation of Japan. Itochu Corp. owns several other fence manufacturers and distributors, including Master Halco and Jamieson Manufacturing Corporation. The acquisition of Reichert enables Alta Forest Products to expand its production capacity and strengthen its position in the market.
