Selland Auto Transport ("SAT" or the "Company") is a medium-sized auto carrier with a leading market position in the Western United States. Headquartered in Seattle, WA, the Company operates out of 11 locations strategically located along major trucking lanes, railroad depots, customer plants, and dealerships. SAT serves a diverse customer base which includes over 15 leading foreign and domestic automobile manufacturers, with relationships averaging over 20 years in length. The Company was founded in 1967 by Richard and Ann Selland and has remained under family control for over 40 years. Ultimately, the family decided to sell the Company to satisfy estate planning goals.
SAT engaged Zachary Scott & Co. as the exclusive financial advisor to represent the owner in a sale of 100% of the Company.
After a targeted search, SAT was acquired by Jack Cooper Holdings, a national auto transporter based in Kansas City, MO.
